I did WW Online in the beginning of 2010. I lost 22 lbs in a little over 12 weeks, which was directly responsible for my starting to ovulate and getting pregnant (which was not my actual goal, just a happy byproduct ). The program isn't hard to follow and as long as you do it correctly, you should lose weight. Good luck!
I did WW with my mom about 6 years ago. It helped me lose and keep off 40 pounds. (Started at 173, I maintain at 135 now). It really helped me not only lose the weight, but learn to think differently about food. It's a nice, slow, long term program. I chose to go to the meetings, as it helped me feel accountable. I lost 1-2 pounds a week.
Thanks for the input! I would like to loose about 25 lbs. I am about 165 now and want to get back to my wedding weight. I would just feel better about myself. I think I may start on Monday!! WOOT, this chick wants to feel hot again!!!

I hear this from a lot of people but, I haven't found the secret yet. I am successful with the high protein and veggies. Wine is my big downfall...

Definitely this! Tell me about online vs. meetings... I want to lose about 20 pounds, and when I plateau I can totally see myself giving up. How did y'all get through that part? As long as I don't have to buy "their" food, I'm willing to try; that's what has me interested in WW. Thanks for your advice!

What I have gathered by my research you don't have to buy their food. You are allowed an amount of points per day. All food is assigned a certain point value and as long as you don't go over your amount, you can eat whatever you want. I know that most veggies and fruits have no points assigned to them so if you eat all of your points before dinner you can eat a salad for dinner and be ok. You also have about 40 points extra per week to add to your daily points. What I gather it is basically portion control which we all know is the key. The points make you accountable. I have really been stalking Weight Watcher's online stuff!!!!! I think that I am ready!

I just signed up tonight. I am ready to get started. I like how they allow you to do this while still breastfeeding.
i wish i could be joking but my dad is the music teacher at a church so he owuld be mad. we had sex, all the time how bad i know but we dont want to wait and he said GREAT OH KAY! and I was really feeling the wets? down there- too embarsed to say- but he acted like man.
I'm not familiar with the new Points System, but I'm assuming it's pretty much the same as when I did it. 1. DRINK YOUR WATER. Half can be non-sweetened beverages, like tea, coffee, and the like. The other half needs to be plain water. Not sure why, but just do it.
2. Eat your points. All of them. Every day. This is important. Lots of people think that if they don't eat all their points, they will lose weight quicker. Not true. Eat.
3. Use the extra points you get each week. Right after my weekly meeting, I would go buy a pint of Ben and Jerry's, eat it all, and not worry about it the rest of the week. It was my splurge and it helped me keep away from other bad things when I knew I could eat Phish Food on Wednesday night.
4. Exercise! Even if you just walk, it will help.
5. Use the food tracker. My old leader used to say "If you nibble it, scribble it. If you bite it, write it." This is probably the most important thing I can push. The weeks I slacked on tracking, I almost always gained.
6. If you plateau, try something new. Try a new food, a new workout, anything! Just shake it up a little!
7. I know that you want immediate weight loss. The first few weeks will be great. You may lose 5 pounds a week. This feels great, but it almost certainly won't last. This is not a sprint, it is a marathon. Do not feel discouraged when you start to have more reasonable weight loss. You should only lose 1-2 lbs a week. This a safe, healthy, and maintainable weight loss.
8. Find a buddy. Plan to meet up at a meeting each week. Encourage each other. Share in the good and bad weeks you will have. Be accountable to someone other than yourself.
I did it - I had already lost most of the baby weight, but I had gained about 15ish pounds between my wedding and getting pregnant. When I did it, I managed to lose 28 lbs. in about 4 months. I've put about 5 lbs. back on because I totally ran off course and I'm trying to lose that again. This time I'm not back to WW, but I'm trying to cut portions to what I remember from I was on it.
I'm a HUGE fan of WW. You have to really commit yourself and understand that you WILL feel hungry for the first few days, because you're probably eating less than you have been. But your body will quickly become accustomed to the new portions.
I lost about 15lbs in the six months I was on it. I came off because at the end I was gaining even though I didn't go over my points. And I was starving all the time. It just wasn't for me. I'm going to have to figure something else out after LO is born.
I started WW when Bean was a baby. I've started and stopped a few times, but I've been back for about six months, and have been steadily losing weight.
There have been ups and downs, but I go to my meeting every week, I try to track my food as much as possible (I haven't been tracking as well as I could be this summer. Things have been crazy!). But I keep going, and never give up. I like the meetings. I love my leader, love my meeting, and it's a big BIG part of why I've kept with it this time.
Sure enough, I'm about 10 pounds away from getting my 80 pounds of baby weight OFF. After that, I'd like to lose about 20 more. Maybe I can reach my lifetime goal by Bean's birthday!
This is my weight chart from when I started till last week. Certainly peaks and valleys, but I'm not giving up!!

I am doing it online because the meetings are a little out of the way for me. I need to lose 50-60 pounds to get healthy and look good. Exercise will be my biggest challenge.
i wish i could be joking but my dad is the music teacher at a church so he owuld be mad. we had sex, all the time how bad i know but we dont want to wait and he said GREAT OH KAY! and I was really feeling the wets? down there- too embarsed to say- but he acted like man.
I did it twice. The first time I lost 83 pounds and kept it off until I was pregnant. Then I did it again to lose the baby weight, and I lost 35 of the forty pounds I gained. The first time it took 11 months and the second time my weight was off by the time Snuggle was 8 months old. I've kept it off and in fact I had a tummy tuck last Friday to have the excess skin removed from my mid-section.
The big thing for me was NOT doing it online. I needed to be at meetings and be held accountable to someone and have people to talk to. I can't be left to do it on my own b/c I will only fool myself. I know some people have done it online with great success, but I knew that was not going to work for me. I also know people who have had success with other methods, but not WW. But, I'd say it is worth a try. Good luck!

Yes, this!
