anyone else use corn starch?

Just want to recommend corn starch to you guys that are in hot climates! Its great for heat rash and diapers and even bathing. Here in guatemala you can't find any good baby shampoos, just J & J and crappy chemically other brands. My midwife recommended just adding corn starch to the bath and it works great. No rashes or cradle crap! Its better than baby powder because its more natural.

  • You can also use it as a dry shampoo (for moms that are having a hard time finding time to shower/shampoo)  :)

  • I know everyone has their own input - we were using it in diapers and my pedi told us to stop immediately as it has been shown to grow bacteria.

This. If the diaper rash turns out to be a yeast diaper rash, the yeast just feeds on the cornstarch making the rash worse.
