In Home Day Care providers in Baltimore

Hi all, I'm looking into childcare for my LO that's due in Oct... we're hoping to do a Nanny Share, but also open to the idea of an In Home Day care center as we know that could be a great environment too, but I'm having a hard time finding any local in the Baltimore city area (we live in Fells) and wondering if anyone had any recommendations?  Also would be open to Glen Burnie/Sev Park as I work in AA County.  Feel free to send a PM if you'd like.  Thanks!

Re: In Home Day Care providers in Baltimore

  • We used the Maryland Locate website to find our in home provider.   You need to set up an account, but it's free and you can narrow providers down by location, hours needed, etc.

Once we had a good list, we started calling them to set up interviews until we found someone we loved.

Here is the link, good luck!

  • I am in the same boat! We live in Hampden, and our first is on the way in November. It's definitely hard figuring out what the good options are.  Not a ton comes up for me on the Maryland Locate site, and it seems like such a shot on the dark! Sorry I can't be of any help, but I am eager to hear if anyone else has suggestions.

  • I just joined care.com and have gotten about 20 responses from potential nannies. Right now we need someone full time, but I might switch to part time at work, and then a nanny share would work well.  I'll def PM you if that happens.

I got a 20% off code for care.com.  The cost of one month's membership was $32, and I figured it was worth the investment.  It's WELCOME20.

I also heard that myfreenanny.com was a good site, but I haven't checked it out yet.
