Stroller Help

We will have 2u2 come November. We have a nanny share, which we purchased a Bumbleride Indie twin for. We will still be using the Nanny once I go back to work and it is at a friends house, not ours.I want to get a 2nd stroller rather than dropping off and picking up our stroller on a daily basis, but also want something a little easier for stores.

I was thinking of going with the B-ready, but DH thinks that we can just always go together and each take a single stroller. Who is being more practical here?

Re: Stroller Help

  • It really depends on your preference, and if DH really is going to be there EVERY time you go out.  For us DH being there all the time would not be possible, I have to take my kids out by myself a lot.  Some people prefer to wear the younger one, and in that case a single is just fine. I prefer to have a double, and I get a lot of use out of it (we have the BJ city select).  We looked at the B- ready but I didn't like that the second seat was facing the back of the other, and it was low to the ground, so I found myself almost kicking the seat when I walked.

  • I only have a 29 inch inseam so the low back seat didnt bother me. I do wear, but DS was just shy of 20lbs at 4 months, so wearing for me is short lived compliments of my back issues....

Although I dont go out that much on my own, I still do. I really dont care for the side by side umbrella strollers, so I thought the inline might be better for small spaces..

I don't wear my kids much either (major back issues) so I live in my double stroller.  From what you've said I think that you should go ahead and get the b-ready (I agree that the tandems are more convenient in most places).  I'm sure your DH means well, but if you are going to take them out yourself, ever, what would you do with a single stroller and not being able to wear the LO?  I guess your older one could walk, but "can" and "want to" are sometimes two totally different things with a toddler!
