Finally got an update from TN regarding the interstate CS action. Apparently address confirmations were sent to BD's address as well as his mother's address the last week of June. They haven't received back the confirmation of his current address, but the one sent to his mother's address (where he used to live) came back as confirmed. Hhhhmmmmm. According to the CS agency, a couple letters have been sent to that address (since it's been confirmed) informing him of the commencement of enforcement in TN. None of those letters have come back "return to sender" which means his mother is getting them and therefore they are considered received by BD. He has 30 days from the date of the first letter to contact them before they file Contempt charges with the Court. I'm curious if he's still "hiding" so that he can't be served by the Police regarding the new CO, as well as the CS paperwork.
Due to the nature of our hearing in November, I have the CS agency sending me a copy of the confirmation of the mother's address as being his. If the confirmation that was sent to his address comes back as rejected/not confirmed, I'm wondering if that will now be enough to nail him with for not offering full disclosure of the children's whereabouts when they were out there visiting.
Most importantly, when are they going to finally be able to seize his quads and cars and finally start chipping away at the massive arrearages?!

I'm curious, has he called to talk to the kids since they have been back with you? How often does he have contact? What a jerk.
He called last night after bedtime (yes, his phone magically works now) to wish my daughter "happy birthday". Since she was already in bed I told him she would call today and of course he didn't answer when he called.

I don't know about in TN, but in MI they won't seize property that is already owned/purchased. they will garnish wages, and they will seize income tax refunds, but they will not seize property, because the CS enforcement people aren't able to liquidate the assets and turn them into actual money, it's just too much for the agency to handle.
TN is using it as a last resort because BD refuses to work a legit job and gets paid cash. Since they can't garnish his wages, there isn't much if any of a tax refund to intercept.
