But, really? Who the F*CK would want to take home these pictures of their LO?

Baby looks like Skeletor. We have actually saved these photos on our computer as "Skeletor 1 and 2" - they are scary!

The u/s tech actually said, "Oh cute! Here's 2 face shots for you to take home!"

I hadn't seen them and could hardly see the monitor, so when we got outside I asked bf to show them to me. He quickly handed them to me and said, "You keep them. I don't ever want to look at them again."

I mean, c'mon! Does our baby not have skin?! WTF are these!?

Otherwise, are those the only two images they gave you? If so, I'm sorry. I think they're neat looking, but I wouldn't want those to be the only ones we take home, lol.

However I did spend a long time looking to see if I could guess the sex, or if I could see it written somewhere.

Haha! The LO literally only showed their parts for under 5 seconds and, luckily, the tech went back and was able to see. I guess they were sitting breech with their feet together, so you couldn't see the lines for a girl and it's toes covered up any boy parts! It was so frustrating!

They look even more scary when you are further along. I have one from my first son at 32 weeks and it looks like those halloween skeleton masks. It has me worried for a while lol

Yep, we got one of those too! The tech actually called it his Skeletor look. I think it looked more like the Terminator (you know, the part where half the human face is missing and it's just the robotic face) but either way it's kind of uh, disturbing!

Yeah, I got one of those last time... except the face looked like a luchador's mask, which was pretty scary too... I'm sure with skin your baby is absolutely adorable!

I have one that looks like that from my 13-week appointment, and that is exactly what I compared it to. I even brought it to work to show to a couple of coworkers who have a minor obsession with aliens.

We got almost exactly the same pic of DD and I was like... ummmm thanks to the u/s tech. It would have been nice to get a nice profile shot but we only got the one scary frontal pic. Hopefully this time will be different. Crossing my fingers!

Vaguely reminds me of the aliens from Independence Day (sorry, I'm really not trying to be rude). I'm now sort of freaking out about our 20 week in 3 weeks. I don't want to show people freaky pictures like that!!

DH and I just looked at each other and laughed right in the room. I felt bad laughing with her still in the room, but the look on DHs face at the aw comment was a clear "wtf is she thinking?"

I had an US last week and one of the photo is like yours too. The sonographer told us 'see! the baby is looking at you' but in my mind, I's thinking he looked skeletal too.

Until your 3rd trimester your baby will look like a skeleton. They have no body fat for the machine to pick up.

I had the exact opposite happen. When I saw that view, I think my u/s tech and I were on the same page. She pointed out that it was the face, but didn't save the image. Meanwhile, my husband used his cell phone to take an image of the screen, and shares it with the family as one of his favorites. He also calls it"skeletor"...go figure!

Looks like a well formed skull - should have allowed the tech to get a really good skull/brain development measurement!

Yup. I was sort of trying to convince DH a few weeks ago to consider the 3D/4D ultrasound so we could find out gender before the family events this month (4th of July plus a family reunion). From reading reviews and info online, was warned that before about 20 weeks it could be a scary view due to a lack of facial fat.
