All of these fires

Are making the air quality terrible here. We have had a different fire break out about every day this week... At least I like the smell of campfires. Every time I cough it startles DS :/

So anyone have a recommendation on a air purifier?

Re: All of these fires

  • We survived the Colorado fires with our swamp cooler. It really filtered the crud out of the air and got rid of that campfire smell.

And I know what you mean about coughing. I was sneezing due to the smoke and it was the most horrifying thing DS had ever heard.

I hope it rains up your way soon. What a crappy summer so far! I hope it doesn't get worse!

Our fires are not as bad here in Idaho but all of them have been within 10-20 miles from where I live and its all settled here lol it sucks. I will look into a swamp cooler though.

    Thanks!

  • We survived the CO/WY fires with swamp coolers and cool mist humidifiers. Kept the air moist inside the house and, for the most part, kept all of us from coughing and getting too miserable. You can get a portable swamp cooler (doesn't have to hang out the window) for about $100.
