How Soon Did You Get Test Results?

Hello Everyone! Small question here - I had my glucose test last Thursday morning and I still haven't heard anything back. I called the Dr. this morning and the receptionist is going to have someone call me back, but I'm on edge...I really want to not have to do it again! So how soon did you hear back whether you passed or failed?

They told me that I would only hear from my Dr if I failed. At my next prenatal appointment she confirmed I had passed with flying colors

Mine was a few days, but I can view results online as soon as they come in. My DR. told me though if they were good I wouldn't hear from him. When I failed the 1-hr they called me when I passed the 3-Hr they didnt

I failed the one hour test and found out when my midwife called me the next day. I passed the three hour test and I waited about two days then called and the nurse gave me my results.

I had my 1 hour last Friday, they called with the results on Tuesday and I did my 3 hour yesterday. The way my office normally operates is if you pass or have normal results, they don't call. I always have to call them or wait until my next visit where they tell me that my numbers are normal.

That's what I was told last pregnancy. This time I got an email to log in to my online medical account when the results were posted. I was done by 11 am and I received the passing #s by 4pm.

I took the test Wednesday and my doctor still didn't have the results Friday afternoon so I just ran down to the lab and picked them up there. I'm far too impatient to have gone through the weekend.

This is what I have been thinking during the interim. The office did call me when I had my Thyroid tested to tell my everything was normal. Considering how quickly people have found out that they didn't pass, I think I should be good.

They told me they would only call with bad news. I too my 1 hour in the morning and they called that afternoon to say I failed. I passed my 3 hour and they never called, after a few days I called just to check and I passed with flying colors.

If you passed they don't get all excited about calling you back.

I finished my 3 hr test last Friday around noon and got the call before 8am on Monday that I'd failed.

I had mine done last thursday as well and they told me they would see me in two weeks and if i failed they would call me before then!!! so im with the no news=good news

My results were the next morning. I passed with flying colors but I had low iron levels so they called to tell me what to take and how. I wouldn't worry too much. If you did have GD I think they would have called sooner. And FYI receptionists are not allowed to give you advice or results, a nurse or Dr. would have to.

Normally I'd say no news = good news, but of course in my case, my midwives haven't gotten my results and I took the test 2 1/2 weeks ago. I had a mw appointment today and she said she didn't have results, had I taken it, etc. So she's going to call to check with the lab where I did it. I was annoyed though b/c I'd just assumed I'd passed and have been happily eating plenty of refined sugars and carbs! :P

Hmm; having to wait at all is strange to me. I was told immediately after the blood draw--I only had the 1 hr test though--was yours a 3 hr?

I got a call the next day after my 1-hour, but that was because I failed. I had my 3-hour today, and the nurse gave me a heads up that my initial draw and first draw after the drink were high, so I'm expecting to hear back today or tomorrow about what the other two draws were. Blah.

The first time, I didn't hear anything until my next OB appointment. That time, I passed.

Had my 1hr test on the 2nd and the nurse said I would know the results in a day or two, I still haven't heard anything! I was thinking "no news is good news" as well but I did call today to be sure and the receptionist said she'd have a nurse call me, so we'll see.

They finally called me back about 20 minutes ago. I passed! She said my iron was a little low, but other than that we are good to go.

Turns out that I am also HIV negative - good to know!!

Nurse just called me back, I failed by 3 pts!!! Wwwwaahhh, now i have to do the 3hr test! I'm also slightly anemic. Guess no news isn't always good news! *sigh*
