I'm avoiding going to sleep because I'm scared of the dreams - I think I'll let this be my vent and then try sleeping tonight. I've been waking up countless times in the middle of the night (think night terrors - I'll be prepared for baby!), which isn't helping with fatigue at all...
My dreams have gotten crazier until the point that every so often, over the past few weeks, I find myself in the middle of mass murder scenes (think Holocaust-esque). While I'd much rather the latter, last night I was brutally injuring/murdering anyone that came near me because it was either that or be brutally murdered by others. But then I escaped to this spaceship, founded a school, and was then emerging from a river in another country, hanging out with my good, Russian friend Ned (I've never met anyone named Ned!)
Well. Now that I wrote it out, except for the first part, it doesn't sound too bad - almost funny.
I'll try sleeping now. Just sharing. Hopefully all of your dreams are less violent and only funny-wacky!
Re: crazy dreams getting worse!
Those are some crazy dreams! Think good thoughts and don't eat before bed, I think that's supposed to help, well anytime other than pregnancy!
Though in my nap today I was on a boat trying to convince people that we weren't on a boat but in a large car driving across the ocean!
Wow, I hope your dreams get less scary.
I actually am loving the crazy dreams! I usually don't recall my dreams, so these weird scenarios and vividness are fun for me:-)
I have also had some pretty intense dreams. Last night i even woke up freaking out about some CD of sounds of me. yelling at my husband cause he wouldnt help me find it. He had no idea what was happening.
That was a pretty funny dream i have also had tons of scary ones.
Home in the bush.
I had a dream last night I was on FIRE. I was rolling around on the ground trying to stop it. There were others with me and one of them rolled into a puddle of gasoline and blew up. WTF.
Later that night I went into a music store (apparently my charred limbs had healed) and met the entire band of Pearl Jam and had a one on one chat with Eddie Vedder in which he explained the meaning behind all of his songs. Then I lay down on a table covered in one of his blankets and took a nap.
Pretty normal stuff....

i could imagine that would be really scary while it was happening! I had one nightmare recently - you know when you can't scream but are trying so hard? well I was trying but nothing came out, and then i was screaming "GET OUT!!!" as I woke. DH said it scared the crap out of him b/c it was apparently ridiculously loud and right in his face. took me a while to get over that one...
although last night i dreamt my father and i sang a fantastic duet for 'somewhere out there" (think fivel the mouse in an american tale). funny thing being that my dad is super manly tough guy with not an ounce of musical ability that I know of. We sounded wonderful though
hopefully your dreams get less violent - i'm a neuroscientist & my opinion is that dreams are just random firings from lower level brain regions, and then your frontal lobes try to make a story out of it all.
