Any Suggestions for Plus Size Maternity Clothes?

I currently wear a size 18 but I have noticed that any pressure on my tummy hurts. I wear my pants on my belly button so NONE of my clothes are really fitting and I'm only 6 weeks! Any one know of a good place to get plus size maternity either new or used?

  • Have you tried a bella band?  That could extend the use of your non-maternity pants for awhile. I think old navy (online) has plus size maternity clothes.

    Congrats!

  • OMG. Me too. I am now 11 weeks and it really bothers me to have a button touching my stomach. I am relieved I am not the only feeling this as its my first pregnancy. I will try the band think that is recommended. Thanks to whoever wrote that.

  • I was also a size 18 before getting pregnant, I was so worried about putting on more weight. With my first pregnancy I put on 75 lbs! But I am 30 weeks and this time I've only put on 7, so my size hasn't changed all that much. I can still wear maxi dresses and summery dresses in a size 18. Old Navy's maternity clothes are a pretty good fit, they are really easy to wear. Motherhood's sizing is a bit weird, in most of their stuff I fit a 2X but some as low as just an XL, but their maternity jeans with the built in band has been great on my sensitive tummy area. I also got a few non maternity things in bigger sizes, like a pair of shorts from wal mart in a size 24, they hang big on me but have been so comfy on these hot days and they don't irritate my belly at all.
  • Online is a great place to get plus size Maternity Clothes. I am also a plus size woman. I shop at gap.com or oldnavy.com. Sometimes walmart.com has plus size maternity clothes. I hope this helps.

  • I was the same size when i got pregnant and i was only 6 weeks when I finally had to give in and buy maternity pants. I found out that JCPenny's is always has a good selection and for not that expensive. Hope that helped.
