napping (ahem..sleeping in general) in his crib for the first time!! It took me a little over 10 minutes of standing there with my hand on his chest after laying him down (he woke up as soon as I laid him down) but it's a start right?

Awesome! I transitioned my LO to his crib for naps and bedtime a couple weeks ago and it's going great so far. It feels good to not have to tip toe around our bedroom while he is sleeping at night.

My lil guy sleeps right outside our room in the living room we have an apartment so its easier for me to get up walk right by him and go to the fridge to get his bottle plus then i dont have to use the baby moniter which makes an annoying sound and his voice is loud enough to hear outside lol, but for naps i put him in his crib sometimes usually we fall asleep together watching the old seasons of the biggest loser

Yeah! Way to go! I completely relate to this battle... I just read the baby whisperer and cut LO off for napping in her swing on Sunday.... She sleeps fine in her crib at night, but needed her swing if I wanted any naps during the day. Yikes, it's tough, but hang in there. I know it will be worth it when I am visiting my parents house or elsewhere and can get her to nap.
