in December 2011 Moms
do you buy all organic for everything or just the dirty dozen or not at all? i'm finding it to be so expensive. it basically costs me about double to make myself what i could buy in jar/pouch form organic.

    It depends on the day and where I'm shopping.  I actually don't worry about it too much since I do all of my produce shopping at Whole Foods (most of their stuff is organic anyways)

    I definitely buy conventional for things like bananas, avocados and other thick skinned produce.

    Dirty dozen? I've never heard it referred to as that. lol.

    Yep, just the regular produce. For some things I buy the basic freezer foods (like frozen green beans, peas, carrots). They are normally $1 a bag and make much more than what I can get fresh. If we weren't experiencing a drought here I'd be checking out some farmer's markets. I'm not really interested in organic---I just want to avoid all the added preservatives and such.

    I mainly buy organic for the dirty dozen and also buy organic banana's and yams.  For the green beans and green peas I buy them frozen (organic).
