Are you getting a double stroller that will be compatible with your infant carseat? There's a bunch of nice ones cheap at a nearby secondhand store, but they wouldn't necessarily hold the carseat we have or I would need to order an adaptor. Im wondering how much I would need that, or if I would just baby wear #2 with DD in a single stroller until #2 is old enough to sit in a stroller. We have a Chicco Keyfit and Ive read that few double strollers are compatible with it, so if I can bypass the need for it....I could buy used instead of new and save. Just trying to decide what is actually needed and practical. Im just not sure how much we will even leave the house before #2 can sit in a stroller!

Re: If you are headed to 2U2....
I would like to get a sit and stand. I have heard that these are the best! They are also relatively inexpensive (around 110). I hope it's compatible with my Graco!
I am the opposite from PP. I will use 2 single strollers when DH is with me, and a double when I'm by myself.
We have a Joovy Caboose Ultralight sit and stand. It is compatible with a Graco and has been perfect for my two that are 2.5 years apart. My little one is 16 months now and will stand on the stroller and even push it herself. If your older kid isn't that mobile they may have issues with standing or sitting.
I am neither buying an infant car seat nor a compatible stroller. The convertible was a secure fit for our 7 lb daughter right out of the hospital. It went down to 5 lb, so that's why we chanced it. I know people say it's safer to get an infant car seat because it fits better, but we thought hers fit her just fine. I'm picky about fits of things on bodies-- it's kinda what I do (did) for a living, with medical devices.
I wore DD ALL the time when she was younger. I can still get away with it if she is asleep, but otherwise she was carried until very recently. I finally bought a lightweight stroller for the car, because my belly is going to get bigger and it's getting to the point where I really need this-- it's not like I can expect her to walk and hold my hand and go where I want her to go.
I plan to wear #2 while pushing DD in this or her single jogger for longer walks/outings. I also have a double jogger (which I found for a great price on CL) for the running I do.
If it is both Dh and I with the babies, he will wear DS in the ergo and I will wear new baby in the sling or a wrap. If it is just me, I might just wear new baby and put DS in the umbrella stroller we have.
I had 2u2 and decided to get a double stroller. We also have the Chico key fit and have the Cortina Stroller. We really like how the Cortina handles, so we opted to get the Chicco Together double stroller. I'm not going to lie - the thing is a beast, but I'm still glad we have it. DS1 isn't to the point yet where he wants to walk all the time so it's nice to have somewhere to plop both kids when we're out, especially places like the zoo where there is a lot of walking. And now that we're going to have 3u3, I know we'll get more use out if it.
