Yay for your rocker! It could be minutes or days or more
Our PT (A had torticollis) loves rocking (it is an important milestone) and she says A doesn't do it enough (only briefly before plunging into crawling). So, for us, rocking was only a few days or so before crawling, but apparently he was/is suppose to rock more... guess he missed the memo
Fortunate to be a SAHM to my 3 musketeers (5/2006, 5/2010 & 12/2011).
Soy & dairy free for the 3rd and final time.
It was a good 4-5 weeks of rocking for us. She would get into all fours, rock, get on her belly, army scoot, repeat. Just in the last couple days has she gone to the full belly off the floor crawl.
Kasen is in this stage, too! He's been doing it for a few weeks... it looks like he's about to crawl then he drops on his belly and army crawls/shuffles. It's funny to watch and I am very proud of him!
I am wanting to know the answer to this as well. He started rocking around June 22nd..and he still isn't true crawling. He kind of does this weird inch worm thing. It's funny to watch.

This is where we are. He started getting up on all fours a week and a half ago, and he's now pushing himself up on our laps, etc, but no real crawling yet.
T has been rocking for two weeks or so. He can push himself backwards and started to lunge forward at things he wants. Sometimes he'll move one knee forward but he hasn't quite put all of the pieces together. He gets so proud of himself when he rocks its really cute.
K rocked for about a good three weeks, then one morning she just decided it was time to crawl. It looked like she knew exactly what she was doing when she decided to crawl too.
We are still in this stage and have been for a few weeks, though she is getting much closer to crawling and can now push off the floor with her feet and scoot herself forward instead of just backwards or in a circle.

Jill your LO is too cute! We do the superman too
I'm not anxious for her to be mobile, but she gets so frustrated. Hopefully they both get it soon!
And Bride2Be it seems weird that your PT would want him to rock longer. I'd think crawling so quickly would be a great development!
Breastfeeding and pregnant!
