So DS is going into surgery now. A contrast study was done to see if dye would flow through his bowels or if there was an obstruction. Turns out, it is an obstruction. I love this peds surgeon and he was the one that saw him in the nicu so I'm extremely thankful he was around this week. He said that in some cases obstructions resolve by themselves, but with DS's history, he thinks it's an adhesion from a previous surgery and that is something that has to be corrected. It all went so fast I'm just so overwhelmed. DH is not coming so I'm here by myself and I ultimately made the decision to go ahead with the surgery by myself. I believe it's the right decision, I just feel like I am not qualified. I cried like a baby all the way down until i gave him away. I know the complications are not life threatening, but every time we are faced with a situation like this, all the memories of his birth come rolling back, when I truly believed we would come home childless. I'm hoping for an uneventful surgery. I will let you all know how it goes! Thanks for your thoughts and prayers.
