Pregnant after 35

I survived the day care tour

We are all signed up and now just have to hope that we get in.  DH somehow knew everything about daycare and had a very intellegent conversation with the director in the middle of taking important calls which they were impressed by.  I kind of just stood there most of the time and nodded.  I asked a few questions and the director answered and then DH would get into a discussion with the director about whatever I had asked and how they do things differently at different centers.

He did his homework before we went.  I am now freaking out because he seems to know how to be a parent and I have no clue.  I am not even sure that I know how to change a diaper.

My husband was surprisingly good at these baby related interview things. And thank goodness as I feel like if you make a good impression on the staff it could very well help improve your chances of moving up the waiting list.

I am pretty sure I don't know how to change a diaper, either. I am just taking this whole thing one task at a time. I will worry about the diapers when the time comes. :)

  • Don't worry about the diapers... the nurses will show you how to do that once LO arrives (or if you have time, most hospitals offer classes on preparing to bring the baby home)
