Update to Intelligender saga...

A few months ago I posted that my SIL bought the Intelligender test, took it, and promptly posted on FB that she was having a boy...to which my MIL chimed in, "I cant wait to start buying boy clothes..."

Well the results are in....she is having a GIRL.

I kind of feel bad for her. When she posted on FB that they were having a girl, a couple people said they were confused because they thought the baby was a boy. She had to then explain the whole intelligender test...

  • I remember you posting about this, lol on the outcome...this will make her think twice before announcing stuff before she knows 100%

I do admit, when she told me it was girl...the 11 year old in me wanted to come out and say, "I told you so..", but I refrained :)

My younger sister, who knows that I have an online mommy group and who knew about the intelligender situation emailed me as soon as she saw the FB post the following:

"Hahahaha, did you tell your mommy group yet!?!?"

  • LOL. i was actually wondering what the outcome of that situation was but couldn't remember who had posted it. that is funny but i hope that she is happy that it is a girl & not truly upset. that makes me sad if she is actually really disappointed in it being a girl.
  • *snort*  That is way too funny!

Our doctor thought ours was a boy at 13.5 weeks at an ultrasound, but told us not to tell anyone yet because it was really early.  If an ultrasound was "iffy" I would definitely think common sense would yield that an intelligender test would be even more so.  Of course, ours did turn out to be a boy... :)

Your 11 year old self?  ha.  You are much more mature than me!  :)

Awesome! She must have felt pretty stupid explaining to people that she was relying on a drug store bought test to determine the sex of her baby.

I must admit, I was hoping the intelligender was wrong when you posted about it. I kind of hate when people make announcements prematurely. I always hope they are wrong just to prove they should be more "intelligent".
  • Lol. Is she disappointed? They didn't buy anything geared toward boy did they?

  • Yep, it said we were having a boy too. DH was walking on air for a month or so. Opps. Hope they are as excited for a girl as they would have been for a boy.

SIL told me she was happy to be having her third girl and slightly relieved because she's used to little girls.

MIL bought some did buy some boy clothes (LOL) she also asked me when DH and I were going to have another one...
