Maternity pictures?

Who is getting them done? I can't decide if I want them or not and hubby is ambivalent. What to do?!

I'm getting them! We just talked to the photographer today. I originally didn't want them because of all the creepy photos I've seen, but I love photos and definetly want to capture this pregnancy. We're photo people, and went all out for our wedding, so it really depends on how you feel about it. I am very excited and can't wait!

I am. I have a friend who told me that she regrets not doing it when she was pregnant with her son.

We are as well! I would definitely regret it if I didn't. I have some friends that do photography so we're not being charged much! I think it's definitely worth it.

Nope not doing them...I just don't know what I would do with so many pictures of pregnant me! We are doing newborn photos though.

Nope. I took pics of myself when I was of with DD and I'm doing the same with this baby.

Of course my camera just died :-( so now I have to find a new one

(oh and I'm not a photographer and just took pictures nothing crazy fancy like the photos do)

we are taking them this weekend! we are only doing 10 shots at a local studio for us. one photo we will enlarge. We are photo people. Can't wait!

I had a photo savvy, but not professional, friend take some of me when I was pg with DD and were doing family photos with a professional later in August do we can also get a few maternity photos as well. I thought it was odd and AWish at first but then I realized that its a great moment in time to document and I wanted to show DD those pictures when she got older. I'm so glad I did it and am excited to do it again.

I hear you on the --what do I do with these?!--situation. I made a small (like 8-12 pg) photo book on shutterfly of the photos and have it in DDs room to show her sometime. Actually, my water broke while I was finalizing the book so maybe it pushed me over the edge!! Haha.

I am planning on getting them done... however my mom is camera savvy so she is going to do them. We are putting a scrapbook together for baby so she convinced me that there needs to be pictures of the bump to show baby when she gets here.

My only concern was the fact that I sadly have stretch marks pretty badly so I don't want any pictures of the bare belly I'm told its not soo bad but I still find them annoying and the lotions and stuff don't seem to be making a difference.

I'm getting maternity/family photos done (I have two daughters; age 2 and 4) and I want a couple maternity photos as this is my last pregnancy and I want a to remember it. I am getting them done around 31-32 weeks as I am big already since its the 3rd time around!

I did not have maternity pictures with my other pregnancies.

I've had maternity pictures done with my first two pregnancies and most likely will again this time. I would never spend a bunch of money on them though. I'm just using a friend who is trying to build her portfolio and will take them for free.

As for what to do with them, I just picked my favorites and put them at the beginning of the album that a later filled with pictures of my baby. It was a nice transition from maternity to hospital/delivery to newborn.

I'm doing them, but they are already pre-paid from my wedding package (didn't use the bridal portrait session, photographer agreed to do maternity instead) otherwise we wouldn't have spent the money on a professional. Still would've done photos either way, just would've had a friend take them if I didn't have a photographer.

I'm getting them! This is my 3rd and I didn't do it with my other 2. I kind of regret it, I have basically 0 pictures from those pregnancies and would love to have some from this one. Also, my dad is a photographer and is insisting.
