Menstrual like cramps?

Is anyone experiencing menstrual like cramps? Some days I have felt them every once in while but today I felt them a lot more than normal. Nothing excruiating but definitely noticeable and uncomfortable. Does anyone know what this could mean? Should I be worried or call my doctor??

  • You might let your doctor know.  I have been having cramps and my doctor told me I need to be drinking more water.  She said pregnant women lose a lot more water in the heat.  I have upped my water intake by a lot and it has helped and they aren't as bad, but I still do have them.  It wouldn't hurt to call your doctor, that is what they are there for!

My OB said the same thing.  I would still let your Dr. know what's going on just to be safe.

  • I've had them more recently too! Like PP said, I notice them when I haven't had enough water. I am going to mention it to my OB at my appt this week. If you don't have an appt soon, call for reassurance! GL!

Yep, and my Dr also said it could be due to a nerve that baby is pressing on as there's less and less room in there now a days. And as every PP has said, just keep them up to date as they may want to see you or not.

I have been getting them for the last week along my lower back only though (never abdomen).  I told my OB yesterday and she also said to drink more water and she isn't concerned as long as they are along lower back.

  • I have the same thing and my midwife tested my urine and I had a bladder infection. Although I'm still a bit concerned because I have finished the medication for the infection and I still have them occassionally....hmm...maybe I need to drink more water.
