I am sure this has been brought up here before, but I figured I'd post to try to get some peace of mind. My husband and I decided to stop birth control in December. Prior to December, I had been on birth control (patch, ring and pill) for 10 years. From January through March we were trying, but not tracking, etc. From April through now, we've tracked my cycles using OPK's, cervical mucus and temp. I took a HPT (cheap Dollar Store brand) the day before my period was due. I took the test because I realized I didnt have any PMS symptoms, like I normally do. I also usually "spot" 2-3 days before my period actually start; no spotting. I took a second HPT (EPT Brand) when I was 2 days late. Still no symptoms, no spotting. Just a dull ache in my lower stomach. It was negative, again. I currently am 4 days late. I'm tired and achy (back). I'm not sleeping well (I've had two dreams about being pregnant). There is no sign of spotting still, let alone my period. My breasts ache, but it's more annoying than painful (usually painful before/during my period). My cycle has never been "perfect", but it's not too bad.. My last three cycles were: 30 days, 31 days, 28 day. Today is 35 days. I am trying not to get my hopes up, because those two negatives crushed me. What do you ladies think? (ps- no I haven't been anymore "stressed" than usual; although I do have a pretty chaotic and stressful life)
Re: TTC: Late period, negative HPT
Did you have confirmed ovulation with your temp? And if so do you have a link to a chart?
Even people with the most regular cycles can still get wonky every so often. I tend to always get one wonky and crazy cycle when it first gets really hot out.
I think the #1 question here is whether you are sure of when you ovulated and how you are determining that you are late?
Generally speaking, most ladies here will tell you that if you are not charting your BBT, it is impossible to know when you ovulated, thus making it very difficult to know when you are actually late. I would wait and test again when you have gone a few days longer than your longest cycle. At that point, if you are still testing negative, wait until you go 60 days without a period, and at that point call your Dr. Otherwise it is unfortunately just a waiting game.
GL to you!
ETA: Sorry, I missed where you said you temp! Can you link your chart? Your O day might be inaccurate.

Can you link your chart since you did say you temp.? I stopped BCP in Dec. and have had cycles from 28-36 days. I've O'ed anywhere from CD 14-25, so expecting my period the same time each cycle wouldn't work out too well. (You're welcome to look at my charts to see the difference) Test 1x a week until you either get your period or a + HPT, if neither show up after 60 days call your doctor.
