A different MIL post..

It's been a really crappy day and I wasn't going to post anything but I kinda just needed to vent.

MIL has been having all sorts of health issues since she went to the ER with pain a few months ago. She has liver, kidney, heart, and ovarian problems all the same time. To make it worse, she has been going to different docs at least once a week since then with no definitive answers on anything. Well, she got news today that they are pretty sure she has ovarian cancer- they said that because of her age and the fluid there, they are about 99% sure. They want to operate ASAP to be sure and they won't be able to do it laproscopically so she is looking at highly invasive surgery. She has to get approval from the other docs before she can have the surgery done.

I lost my mom when I was 7.... and I firmly believe no one could ever come close to replacing her. But I am very close to my mother in law and of course DH is upset as well. I don't necessarily pray, but whatever your stance on religion I would appreciate T &/or P

I am so sorry your MIL got that news today. I will keep my FX that surgery goes good for her and she has a very speedy recovery. She will be in my T&Ps.

I don't really pray either, but I'm sending good thoughts your way. I too am very close with my MIL; she got very sick with an infection last year and was hospitalized for a week. Scared the crap out of me and my fiance. So I somewhat know how you feel. Keep your head up!

I'm so sorry to hear about your MIL, she...as well as the rest of the family will be in my thoughts and prayers. And I understand you don't necessarily pray, but there's no better time to start than now. Try it, it may bring you some measure of peace and strength as you try to be strong for DH and MIL.
