I am so depressed! I just went to Target and saw all the school supplies out!  NOOOOO, it can't be almost time already!  Stroke my hair and tell me it was all a bad dream!!!!

    Ugh, I know! I have looked at planners a couple times cuz I like pretty ones, it makes the blow softer. ;) I was just asking my mom to babysit next month on August 15th and she told me it was her 2nd day back to work and that made me suppppper sad.  How????

    I am not sure how it happens.  I think there is something wrong with the time/space continuum that makes the summer go by WAY faster than the rest of the year!

    I had lunch with one of my teammates today and I did the unthinkable--I told her I was going up to work in my room ::whispers:: next Monday!!

    I need to make a list of my "Top 10 things to Do" thanks to Pinterest and get my butt in gear!

    NOOO!  Don't go!  I need to go to my room and check on a few supplies, but I think I will wait until I get back from vacation before I do it.  I just can't seem to make myself get there!

    I totally get it.  I will probably go back the week before just to get things in order before really going back on August 6th!  Even typing that outs hurts me.

    I'm also going up earlier because our first two "work days" are taken up by meetings! So that's two less days I have to work in my room.

    Plus, one of those days is also Meet the Teacher, so I cna't get much done during those 2 hours since kids/parents will be in and out

    Butting in but I saw Thanksgiving decorations at Joanns today and nearly cried - its not even midway through July people!

    Our opening day is that way too.  We are completely taken away from our rooms for meetings.  And the first 3 days of schools we are at the other elementary schools and not even in our own room and the next week is taken up by home visits.  I have no time in my room before kids come!  boo!

    Hope you don't mind another teacher joining the convo. Crazy that all the school supplies are out (and that I just bought all my pencil boxes before they're out of stock). Even crazier that Hallmark has a 4 day countdown until Christmas ornaments are out. Really?!? 

    ps.. Kdg, I am jealous that your class size is going down... ours keeps creeping up every year. How many kiddos do you have?

    Wow! That's awesome! I'll have 25... and that's only because my school uses site money to pay for an extra teacher in kinder to keep class-size down. Otherwise I would have 32. Yikes!

    I will admit, my first thought upon reading KLN's post way, "Well I guess I just won't go to Target for a while." Stick out tongue

    We are never given time in our rooms before kids come. The expectation is that teachers will come on their own the week or two before we officially report back to unpack and put our classrooms back together.

    I was in my room working all day. :( I barely put a dent in everything that needs to be done. Way depressing.

    Just wanted to jump in and say hey to all my fellow teachers! I admire all you ladies going up to your rooms, I refuse to think about anything school-related until August!
