Stuffed?!

Anyone else have the feeling of being totally stuffed, like you've eaten a huge meal even if you haven't? It's getting really uncomfortable. Last night I had a salad (from Trader Joe's, so not that big), a nectarine, and a glass of milk...and I felt so full I was totally miserable, it made me feel really sick. Same thing today, I am hungry, but my stomach feels full and hard and it's really uncomfortable, no matter how little I eat. Not to mention it looks like I already have a baby bump at 12 weeks (which I don't, or just a little one). I saw someone at work looking questioningly at my stomach!

Aargh. Is this just normal bloat, are you guys experiencing this?

I feel the same most days....I am STARVING and start to eat my meal and then get so full. :-( I am not bumping yet either....but am also a bigger girl. But my clothes are telling me to STOP wearing them! Ugh. Oh the joys. LOL. Hang in there.

I'm the same way and with my last pg it got worse the further along I got. I ate less when I was pregnant than before. My MW said it's because as the uterus grows the stomach gets smashed smaller to make room. She suggested eating a bunch of small meals.

YES! I have the same thing. I feel stuffed but am still kind of hungry sometimes. I also look like I'm 6 months pregnant sometimes. I naturally carry my extra weight in my tummy area so that doesn't help it. Some of it is bloat but my lower abdomen (where my uterus is) is very hard so I know that's contributing to it. Also, all the other internal organs are shifting around the make room and that's not helping either.

I'm lucky that I'm off for the summer and don't go back to workshop week until I'm about 18 weeks and by then I won't be trying to hide it. It's easy now because I can just wear sweats and not worry about getting weird looks....except from maybe the pugs. haha Smile

This. Unfortunately, it definitely gets worse as you get farther along Frequent small meals is the way to go!!

Yes, totally! I feel like I'm hungry every hour but when I eat, I can only have something small before I'm full. I eat all throughout the day but only small things. I wasn't a big "snacker" before I got pregnant, so this is totally out of the norm

Yes eating is just not fun anymore! I have found that the super full feeling is way worse than the sorta hungry feeling so I am really trying to force myself not to eat as much as I normally do. Apparently dinner time is when I really get my grub on cause that is when I feel the worst.

I feel that same way. I saw an evil olive garden commercial the other day and convinced DH that I had to have it for dinner. Well after eating half of a breadstick and a small portion of salad I was stuffed....ate 2 bites of dinner and packaged the rest up to take home. Poor DH is so frustrated with me but is starting to understand. Someone posted this link on another board the other day and it was an awesome visual for me to see why my stomach feels this way.

I just googled this last night because I feel full so fast now, I am eating way less than I did before I was prenant and nothing sounds good. The articles I read say that this is normal in 2nd tri because the uterus is pushing up on the stomach and also the digestion slows so much that some people always feel full.

yes!

i can't nearly eat as much as i used to.....i've always been a pizza person, but lately i've just wanted sicilian pizza....last night i could only eat a piece and a half! i could normally eat like, 3 pieces....but i got so full so quickly, and then felt sick...

it's been like that with everything i eat...it doesn't take much to make me full, and then sick luckily i can keep it all down though....

Im with you. Even if i eat something small I feel like my tummy is soooooo full! Its terrible!

Yep, you are definitely not alone! I've really noticed it over the past week or so - I realized yesterday I probably had about 4-5 meals and was briefly horrified but then thought I really didn't have my normal serving sizes at any of them. I can barely finish a regular old sandwich in one sitting, but know I'll be hungry way too soon. Eating is not very satisfying lately!
