Post your highs only! We need a little pick me up.
DD took the week off from work for my Dads birthday (July 4), so she's been here all week. I'll miss her next week. Summers are always hard for me.
My ex went back to work, so I should start receiving child support for DD again soon. That will help with my income.
DS is sleeping continuously through the night...note he doesn't sleep THROUGH the night. But, he stirs to be fed and goes right back to sleep. Still isn't sleeping in his crib, but we've found a fix. He sleeps propped on my arm, curled against my side with easy access to nurse.
For me, well, I'm just taking it one day at a time. I'm trying to make an effort to get out and about at least every other day. I'm hoping for maybe the zoo or a museum tomorrow.
Re: Too Much Gloom Here This Week!
Ok, I just died. That is so awesome. My 5 year old nephew had to draw his favorite thing for his kindergarten open house...he drew his baby cousin. Swoon.
And he's right, that is one lucky baby!!
My new high:
Carpal tunnel is GONE!!! I played a video game today for 45 minutes and NO PAIN!!! Yay! This means I can read again! I'm so stoked! Before I could only get through about 20 pages before my hand went numb and my wrist hurt. I can't wait to sink into a juicy book! I'm the only gamer I know who's book budget is higher than their game/PC/console budget.
Now, I just gotta get Henry to cooperate...
This made me melt. My niece couldn't wait to meet her new cousin. Unfortunately LO had his own schedule, and my sister (active duty Army) had to PCS to Fort Benning before he was born. She waited as long as she could...and so did he, lol. But, we're going out there for Thanksgiving.
omg SO cute. My nephew still doesn't talk but does this to Jude. They are going to grow up like brothers, SO sweet. My high: even though Jude is sick and I suspect teething
I've been dating this guy and he is so sweet to help and showed up one day with a vaporizer for DS's room and Little Nose's saline drops. And my sister has been a b!tch lately but we are hanging out today when I get off work and I'm going to get my nails done! yay! And Jude can ALMOST sit up!
I took a vacation this week. I went to Ocean City MD with my family as our last family vacation before the baby comes. My family goes every year and I tend to stay home with the dog and birds. This year I decided to go and arranged for my dog to go to my grandmothers and my neighbor to check in on the birds.
I don't know if I will go back next year but I figure if I don't I wont really have anyone here to watch DD while I'm at work. So it's go to the beach with them or let my mom take her for the week and I don't want to miss her first beach trip or how I would handle her being gone for a week without me so I may be going back next year.
Got a little sick on our boat ride, but got a tan! I don't remember the last time I had a decent tan.... maybe high school.
I had E's birthday party and I have to say I did a darn good job
It was pirate themed and I had been planning it since the beginning of the year (i know thats horrible). E's last birthday was not big, I didn't have much money to even live off of so he went to the local park and had homemade cupcakes. This year I went all out! E enjoyed himself until about 12:30 and then he started to get cranky (nap time) but he still hung out with his friends and cousins! It was on July 4th soo later that night we watched fireworks.
I made pirate ships out of large fridge boxes (Home Depot) and they had a water balloon fight at the end, and I sent them home wet! Next year will be an airplane party because I work on an Airbase and they have a lot of tours to go in and out of actual planes! You can even ask to have a private party and you can set up tables within an old airplane! I get too excited about parties!
The little lady moved from the infant daycare room to the next room, she's a big girl now! So excited for her. (and excited to save a few dollars a week on daycare).
I have my CS hearing next week. It will be painful, but at least it will be thru the "system" and I don't have to deal with SD sending a check (or if he will send a check) and my payment amount should go up, which would really help. Either way, just getting a check will help, any amount.
I have a fun filled Saturday planned for DD and I, so I am very excited about that.
Starting a new bedtime routine this week..the bottles are going away, so we have to find a new routine. Wish me luck.
