What does mama wear to the party?!

So DD's big day is coming up this weekend and I haven't given a thought to what I am going to wear?

Indoors, midwest, close family and friends - which could equal a lot, any suggestions? Also if a dress/skirt can be avoided that would be awesome!

    I'm going to do a white skirt and a nice sleveless top - midwest, outdoors.

    If you want to avoid skirt/dress - why not capris with a cute top and flat sandals?

    Both my other kids were born in the summer so we just had a BBQ with close family and friends so I wore capris and light sleeveless top.  This go round, not sure it all depends on the weather.  It really just depends on how 'dressy' and event you want to make it.  DD wore a sundress for her first birthday and DS#1 wore a pair of shorts and shirt that matched  his sisters dress.

    I wore dark denim capris and a red striped top to A's party.   I couldn't find a Seuss shirt I liked so I went with a red shirt.

    For my older son's party, I just wore black pants and a cute top.
