I feel ya, my husband and I only had a list of girls names we liked and of course we found out yesterday we are having a boy. My MIL wants to know the name and I had to laugh because we have NO idea. I love the name Bennett and its on my list of top boys names but hubby thinks its a last name. I also like Asher:)
I feel your pain. DH hates every name I suggest! The problem is he likes traditional names and I want something less pedestrian. I've given up for now until our a/s. (BTW, Carson is an awesome name )
As soon as we found out we were having a boy, we started talking names. All I can say is THANK GOODNESS we have 22 more weeks because it is going to take us forever to decide on a name!
That sucks. I am dreading the next time around for DH and I if this LO is a boy. We cannot agree on a second boy name. The only name we can agree on is Cade.
Dh and I can't agree either. It was so easy last time and this time around has been much more difficult. We are taking a break on discussing names till after our a/s.
Ivy: July 2010 | Stella: Dec 2012 | BFP#3: MMC at 11Wk's, July 2017 | Wyatt: April 2019 | BFP#5: Twin Girls due Sept 2020
My DH did the same thing at first. He hated all my boys names and was iffy on Jackson. He didn't want that name because people would think we got it from Sons of Anarchy. Now we have agreed on Jackson Scott though. But we can't agree on a girls name... so we're hoping it's a boy when we find out in a week! Lol.
We have a girl's name we love, but no boys name yet (sort of a first name, but nothing solid).... names are tough! After all, our children will be stuck with them!!!!
I'm one of those people that like weird baby names. My husband wasn't a fan of many names I picked out. I still ask him about certain names and he says no becuase he has already decided on a boy name and a girl name and he isn't changing haha.

I love Asher too. Sadly my husband used to work with an Asher and doens't have found memories. Can't be too mad. Even though I think Alison is a pretty name, bad high school memories keep that one far off my list.
Yeah that's where we're at. I'd like something that's unique but easy to spell.
My SILs kids all have really odd spellings and I spent the first 2 years of our marriage constally checking on their name spellings. I still don't totally have it.
we can't agree on any names for either boy or girl. i figure, we have a little time at least hopefully we can agree by the time baby is born! GL to you

This is us too. I like more formal, traditional names -- BF is part Italian and wants an Italian name (Isabella - pronounced Esabella - and Luigi top his list).
I only shared one name with DH - Landon - and he said it sounded like a male porn star. I don't know where that comment came from, but I'm sure we're going to clash once we really sit down to discuss names.
Re: DH didn't like any of my boy names....:(
Oh I hear ya sister.

Same issue here.
H doesn't like my boy names - but I'm cool with it because I don't like his either.
Yup yup.
It will be interesting to see what we compromise on if this child is a boy!

Well good luck!
This. We decided on DD's name within an hour of our BFP. A boy name took several months. So when we found out DD was well, a DD, we were relieved.
This time our boy name is the one that was easier (as we had already picked it last time) and we had a toooough time with a girl name.
We find out for sure next week...I'm betting boy.
My husband and I are having a hard time with boys' names too. We had a very easy time agreeing on a girl's name.
What boy names does your husband like?
