I am taking a summer course and have to read a bunch of books for that. I actually have two books I have to read by tomorrow. Over vacation last week, I read A Long Way Down by Nick Hornby. I usually love his stuff but it was so so. I also read A Long Way Gone. That was disturbing but very good.

So far this summer I have read the "Tomorrow" series by James Marsden (sp?). There are seven, semi short books and they are very much like the movie Red Dawn if you have seen it. I loved the books! Favorite I have read in a long time.
I am now reading "The Enemy" series. These are pretty good too.

I just read "A Discovery of Witches." It's going to be a trilogy, the second, "Shadow of Night," came out today, should be on my Kindle app when I get home. It's okay, not great.
I was kind of meh about Discovery of Witches, too. I found my self getting bored and skipping ahead a lot.
I'm saving Shadow for our trip to the Outer Banks in two weeks.

I'm re-reading Hunger Games because I feel like I was too excited to really absorb a lot of it the first time. And next will be the second Richard Castle book because I got it at Christmas and I feel like I should finally read it!
You don't understand the appeal of Benedict Cumberbatch / think he's fug / don't know who he is? WATCH SHERLOCK. Until you do, your negative opinion of him will not be taken seriously.
I just read that the movie rights to this book were bought 3 years before it was even completed. That should tell you how engaging it is. Although I honestly have no clue how they can make this into a movie without ruining it completely.

I read this last summer and enjoyed it. isn't book 2 supposed to be out soon?
I just reread Catching Fire. After I reread Mockingjay, I will probably read Gone Girl.
