I've been holding out, thinking I'd just use a tote. I'm giving in because it's raining outside, I can't go grocery shopping like I'm supposed to, and I just feel like a little online spree.
So if I'm only investing in one bag, what do you recommend? PIP your favorite!
Re: PIP your diaper bag!
They don't make the exact one any more, but this is the closest thing to the one I have (and still use every day even though he's potty trained because it fits so much!) from DS:
https://www.katespade.com/designer-handbags/fabric-purses/kate-spade-nylon-stevie-baby-bag/PXRU2340,default,pd.html?dwvar_PXRU2340_color=001&start=9&cgid=baby-items-baby-bags
Mine has a long shoulder strap, though. I would NOT recommend getting a diaper bag that does not. You're going to be juggling the baby, a carrier, etc. and never have enough hands. Diaper bags with "hand handles" only are totally impractical to me.
I like that it's black and doesn't scream "diaper bag" - DH never minds carrying it.
ETA: Before someone comments, this was a group gift. I clearly would never spend that much on a diaper bag. But I do highly recommend it.
My aunt got me this one as a shower gift. I'd never have paid so much for a diaper bag. In fact, I was going to make mine...but this is a really nice one.
It's the Ozz Dainty by Kalencom. Here's the link on their website.

I don't have a PIP, but I want this lug diaper bag. My sister has it and loves it!

I just bought a Perry Mackin diaper bag of Gilt (an online sale boutique) this weekend. It has a removable long crossbody shoulder strap too.
I totally agree with this statement. I made the mistake with my first PPB (it has a long handle, but it isn't practically attached, so I never used it).
I own these two:
Just got this one for myself for LO #2 and have been using it for a while.
This was my third try for a diaper bag I liked with DD and I love it. It's leather made by One Step Ahead.
Photobucket isn't working, go figure. Here's the link:
https://www.petunia.com/bags/boxy-backpacks/peacefulportofinoI definitely am excited about the backpack part!
Gonna try this one out. It's a Miche bag so I can change the outside of purse if I find that it's no good to use as a diaper bag. But this shell is a diaper bag shell and comes with a matching changing pad.
This was the one that I got and I love it! Sorry no PIP

Skip Hop Studio in Pewter Dot
I havent actually used it yet, but it gets awesome reviews. I was going to go with the juju be prepared, but I thought it was going to be to big for one child, I will get it when number 2 comes along.

this is the one I'm getting. I like that it has an easy-access wipes container, a lot of extra little pockets, and a wide opening top.
I am a big Vera Bradley fan, so my mother bought this for me

My mom bought me the Vera Bradley Baby Bag for my shower
I haven't gotten it yet, but it seems like it'll be a great option. You can throw the whole thing in the wash. I wanted a PPB, but I just couldn't find what I wanted exactly in style and color and wasn't paying that much for something I didn't love
I have a few...I guess you could say I collect them. The 2nd was a gift, the 3rd & 4th were free
Can't find the exact one - mine just doesn't have the pink decorations on it:

Here's mine, the Petunia Picklebottom boxy backpack in Blueberry Acai. I got it during the outlet sale earlier this year.

Carter's from babies r us - I love that it still looks like a purse, but has a ton of pockets and a lined interior with matching changing pad.
I got this one as well, just haven't used it yet!
Love my Skip Hop dash deluxe in Charcoal. It is manly enough that DH likes to carry it too. It fits perfect in the stroller. Is a great size, not so big that I pack his entire closet but can carry everything I need.

I bought this from the sample sale in the spring. I have the black and white polka dot one. I can't wait to start using it!

Ooh, I love this. I've been stalking some of their bags, but my plan to have a "handbag diaper bag" backfired with DD and I ended up returning 2 different ones and buying a cute but practical one that I could attach to my stroller. I'm afraid to take the plunge again for fear that the same thing will happen.
I registered for the Eddie Bauer Fairview (Target):
And the Skip Hop Dash Deluxe for DH (also Target):
I want this one so bad!
I haven't got one yet! But I am going to get this one and another one that's a little smaller! Probably just a cheap one from Wal-Mart though.
I think this is the one I have, just in a different pattern. Found it for pretty cheap at Marshall's (or maybe it was TJMaxx- something like that).
I also got a JJCole one that's bigger for longer trips out.
JJ Cole 180 System... love the quality and all the extras, like changing pad, insulated bottle pockets, and paci pod... hopefully it's big enough!
How is it with actually holding it on your shoulder, though? I have seen some on sale and love the look, but I've learned I prefer a cross body bag when dealing with DD. Is this one bulky to carry?
We have the same one!! I love it!
I just ordered this bag but in Black
This was one of the first baby items I purchased. They're Baya and were on Totsy for I think 29 each and they had the accessories. I'm a sucker for daily deal websites and extras like the changing pad, wipes case, etc. I got them both for reasons I cannot explain. They're basically just GIANT totes with a zippered bottom pouch for wet stuff. They feel okay and seem durable and washable.
