Anyone have the City Mini?

I'm still doing stroller research Tongue Tied I have the snap and go for my Graco Snugride 30, but i'm hating walking with it for any distance. After a bunch of research i've stumbled on the City Mini. Problem is, I don't know if it's compatible with the Snugride 30. It says the Snugride, and then the Snugride 35 and Safeseat. Just seeing if anyone has one and knows?

Re: Anyone have the City Mini?

  • I can tell you the car seat adapter does come with several attachments as well as straps to hold the carseat down.  I had a Graco seat for a short time - sorry cant remember which one - that a friend let me use and it fit on the adapter with no problem.

ETA - if you are going to get the City Mini, be sure you get the 2012 as in the earlier versions, it is almost impossible to get anything in and out of the storage basket.  I thought I had the 2012 but turns out I have 2011 and it drives me crazy almost daily that I cannot get things in and out of the basket easily.

PS...if you do end up buying the mini and want the car seat adapter, I was planning on selling mine for cheap.  Send me a private message if you are interested.

  • I'm currently between the city mini and the city elite. Everyone I know has a city mini and they love it.

As far as the car seat attachment, I'm almost positive it'll fit any car seat.

  • I have the Snugride 30 and the city mini.  As long as you have the adaptor bar there is no problem :)

  • I've played with it at BBB. I really like it. I think I would be down to that or the britax b ready if buying another stroller.

I'm not sure I would worry about a carseat adapter if you have the snap and go. Just continue to use that for short errands etc and place her in the larger stroller for longer trips.

I'm not loving our double right now because DD needs to be in her carseat to use it and she's miserbale in it. We rented a BJ city elite double for in FLorida if she's happier in that I'm going to have to try and convince DH we need one or similar. LOL

  • I have the 2012 City Mini. I LOVE this stroller. The basket is a tad small, but I'm not using it much right now anyway. The stroller is easy to move with one hand too. I use it everywhere. I have a Chicco carseat so I needed a different adapter bar, but there should be one that fits the Snugride.

Just an FYI - I just bought the Britax B-Agile Double.  IT IS AWESOME!  Lightweight, easy to steer, awesome storage, fantastic folding, and slightly less expensive than BJ....

  • I have a 2012 City Mini & Graco Snugride 35. I love this stroller! The basket still isn't the easiest to get to, but I can shove my diaper bag (and I do mean shove) when I need to. I believe the adapter is compatible for all Graco Snugrides. You won't regret spending the money on it.

  • I have the 2011 City Mini and the Graco Snugride 35.  I like it a lot, but I find it harder to fold with the adapter on it.  Like the adapter scrapes my arm when I fold it if I am not careful.  As for the stroller itself, I like that it is easy to wheel and turn, even one handed.

  • we have the '11 city mini and i love it. we never got the car seat adapter. i just put him in there with it fully reclined and it works just fine (the manual says you can so long as the harness fits). just this week i have moved it a bit out of the fully reclined position because he keeps leaning forward trying to sit up and see.

i always leave one side of the basket unsnapped (it doesn't drag on the floor or anything) and i can access it just fine.
