Hi, I'm Emily. I'm pregnant with my first and I'm planning to have a homebirth. It has just always made sense to me for whatever reason.
Right now I'm in the process of finding a midwife. I know in the past I've seen that some people have a good list of questions to ask their potential midwife. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Re: Intro and a question
These are good places to start:

You can always add your own questions to something like this. Good luck!
I agree with all of this. My biggest concern is that my midwives know where their expertise ends and when it is time to consult with a doctor or transfer care. I also wanted to know that they had substantial medical training and that they weren't midwives to prove that doctors aren't needed in birth ever. I also want to be comfortable with my midwife and know that they have the baby and my best interest in mind at all times.
