Breastfeeding & PCOS

Just curious if there is anyone on here that has PCOS and was able to successfully breastfeed? We went to our breastfeeding class tonight and were told that often women with PCOS don't have any milk come in. Just looking for some insight. TIA!

I have PCOS, and I pump. I do supplement with formula, but my milk is in.

I have not been officially diagnosed with PCOS, but I have all the symptoms and I'm pretty sure that is the root cause of my low supply. I only made it to 12 weeks with DD, but DS is 4 months and we're still nursing. I have to supplement with 1-3 oz of formula at every feed though. And when I pump at work I get about 5oz total pumping 3-4 times in my 12hr shift. That's at least one bottle that won't be formula!

Reglan or domperidone might help if it's a hormonal imbalance issue.

I have pcos and just made it to one year breastfeeding and still going strong. It is different for every woman. None of the difficulties we had in the beginning were due to pcos and it has not seemed to affect breastfeeding at all for me. Some women do have problems with milk supply with pcos, but many don't. If anything, my struggle has been with oversupply. I've even been able to donate some milk.
