Birthday gift ideas?

I am at a loss as to what we should tell people to get LO for his birthday. We want to get him a wagon for sure. I just saw someone talk about My Pal Scout which looked fun. Besides clothes what else would be good? I thought about a ride on toy or Cozy Coupe but we live in the country and don't have any flat areas so that may be difficult. Our house is also small so storage for toys is limited. TIA!

    Here are some things that DD got a couple years ago and still plays with.  My Pal Violet, Little People Barn, mega blocks, shopping cart, her stuffed dogs, leap frog lap top, books. Other ideas are pajamas and clothes for fall.

    Outdoor toys are good if you don't have a lot of indoor space.  Our water/sand table has been awesome!  When we first got it we only used is as a water table and now that my daughter is older put sand in half of it.  PJ's, clothes and books are always good gifts.  wooden puzzles are good and don't take up much space.

    We're asking people to bring diapers and wipes for us to donate to our locate food pantry in lieu of gifts. DS has plenty of toys and clothes and we're hoping to start "teaching" the concept of giving early in (making it the normal, or what he sees).
