Pregnant after 35

3D/4D Ultrasound (pic included)

I didn't know if I really wanted to get one.  Quite frankly, I think they are kinda creepy.  Anywhoo...I went along with it because I was curious.  I thought I would share with you.

  • Is this something you pay out of pocket for? I was never offered one so I am not sure how you get this???

  • Yes, we paid out of pocket for it.  Some offices have the capability to switch from 2D to 3D and if they are really nice, will do so.  Mine never did.  I almost waited too long to get it done.  He was kinda squished and kept most of his face turned to my uterine wall and he had his hands up in the way most of the time.

We had a package done.  We got a DVD that is set to music, 22 still shots, another confirmation that he is, in fact, a boy and finally, they recorded his heartbeat, saved the recording and placed it inside a teddy bear.  I have to admit, that part is kinda cool.  We paid $160 for everything.

And, to be an AW, my OB turns on the 4D for the last few minutes so we can get a few shots.
