Nbr hair elastics

I have long hair and can't seem to find hair elastics that hold their elasticity  I keep my hair up most of the time in either a pony tail or bun.  So far I've bought them from Cvs and h&m.  I think the ones from h&m are ok but only last about a week each.  I would like a plain black elastic ponytail holder.  Thanks!

Re: Nbr hair elastics

  • I have long and thick hair that is never down. I buy the thick ouchless, metal free goody black elastics. My trick though is I use 2 at a time. Otherwise my hair won't stay tight in a ponytail. (I put them in at the same time, not one after another, if that makes sense.)

  • I just buy a big package of the "ouchless" ones.  They come in thin and thick sizes depending on what you need for your hair.  I always have one around my wrist.  When it loses elasticity, I just change it out for a new one.  Nbd.

They keep a supply of these in the gym for us.  Works fine (of course, my hair isn't long like it was previously...working on it).

  • I use those same ones (the thicker ouchless ones by goody) and I've never had a problem? They do lose elasticity after a while, but a package still lasts me a year or so. I usually only buy new ones bc I end up losing them all!

  • The Goody ones work well for me also!

  • I use the same Ouchless ones too.  When one gets stretched out I put it in a drawer then when I have 2 stretched out ones I use them together.  A pack lasts me a pretty long time.  In fact, I keep forgetting to buy more- thanks for the reminder!

These kind are pretty awesome!  They are like a rubber almost and no slip, so I don't have to pull them as tight so they don't get stretched out and honestly don't even know if they could get stetched out.  I have found them at CVS.

I thought this was going to be about hair elastics for the babies. I wanted to tell everybody that the clear elastics are a ripoff, like from the hair section.

You can go to any Tractor Supply/horse supply store and get 200+ of the same type of elastics for $1 or $2. They're labeled as braiding bands.

Idk for adult hair. I have the same issue.

good to know! I had planned to see if I could find some orthodontist rubber bands online if Lexi EVER has enough hair for me to use them!
