My cousin told me she induced herself twice by putting her breastpump on for 30 minutes (15 each side). She said did this a couple of times in the same day and went into labor that night with both of her kids. I tried it but it didn't work for me.

I also tried eating mass amounts of pineapple.

Not on the list, but below is the link for a place in Atlanta that is known for their eggplant parmesean putting women into labor. I know two people who it actually worked for who are friends of my sister who lives there. They ate it at the resturant, but I plan on making it at home the night before my due date, since Atlanta is a 3 hour drive for me enjoy...

I think I'm gonna make this for dinner tonight. Doesn't hurt, right? Besides, sounds like a great recipe (if you like eggplant... luckily I do). I may make a chicken version for dh as well... he HATES eggplant!

I'll keep you all posted about the 48 hr thing.

I was told at the begining of my pregnancy not to eat papaya becasue it contains a natural ingredient similar to latex that makes your uterus contract.

My friend did this with her breastpump and said her water broke an hour later...she delivered that day!

I wish I saw more on how to increase dialation- that was my issue last time, and what my OB is concerned will be my VBAC obstacle this time, any one have any ideas?

Of course the truth is that if there were any tried and true method, nobody would ever go past their due date. I'm a firm believer that if some induction method works, it's because your body was ready.

To the PP, I would recommend taking evening primrose oil. That may sound hypocritical given my previous statement but EPO doesn't do anything for labor but it does supposedly help ripen the cervix so that dilation happens more quickly when labor begins. My OB said that it can't hurt to try.

My maternity photographer did the breast pump thing at the hospital before they gave her medicine to get induced and labor started naturally for her a few hours later. I will be trying this one!
