Late OV after Fresh IVF cycle?

We became pregnant with b/g twins via our first attempt at IVF. Sadly, we lost them at 18 weeks due to preterm labor. After a hysteroscopy to remove scar tissue, a FET and then another fresh cycle, we still have had no luck. I'm very sad and confused as to why this is not working for us. Our Dr. wants us to keep trying IVF but I'm thinking that my body may need a break from everything.

DH and I are going to try on our own for a little and I have been tracking my ovulation with OV sticks. So far on CD 16 - still no LH hormone. I am noticing a change in my CM to more sticky and I have cramps. Typically I would get my surge on CD 12. I was just wondering if it was normal for IVF cycles to push off ovulation?

    I'm sorry for your loss! ((hugs)) I'm on my first cycle after my first IVF failed and I O'd late. I normally have a 28 day cycle with surge on day 15, but this time my surge was on day 20. I guess it could be possible to even have an anovulatory cycle after IVF.

    I'm also sorry for your loss.  My O post IVF was several days later than usual, so I think it's pretty typical to have a wonky cycle post IVF.

    Me:40 AMA, DH:36 0% morph, TTC#1;
    BFP#1 4/2011, MMC 6/2011 11wks Trisomy 13;
    BFP#2 11/2011, CP
    FSH: 17.9, AMH: 2.2
    IVF#1 w/ICSI: ER 4/3: 5R,4M,4F

    My cycles have always been long after my failed IVFs.   Although I did not track ovulation or whatnot - I needed a break!    But it is normal to have longer cycles coming off all of those meds - I would just let your body do what its going to do.  If you get to CD35 or 40 and no period - have your RE run a progesterone and see if you ovulated or not.
