I know if my DS had his way, we'd hold him all the time. Unfortunately for him, mommy often needs 5 seconds to pee or to be able to keep the house in order. I'm sure I'm not the only mommy with such needs.
When LO needs to be out of your arms, where do you put them? The floor on a blanket? On a playmat? In the swing? Jumparoo? I'm curious what alone activities everyone else is having their LOs do.
For us, DS gets put into an exersaucer with jungle themed toys. If he's in a really good mood, I put him on the playmat where he can roll around and play with toys. He'll also occasionally go in the crib during the day with a few toys, but he rarely lets me walk away for long. He won't tolerate the swing anymore, so that's gone into storage.

This. She's alway wanted to be one the go, sometimes I wish she'd let us cuddle her a little more! A blanket doesn't contain her anymore. She rolls or creeps/crawls everywhere now. She's even working on getting into a sitting position on her own. I feel like when sitting comes easy life gets a lot easier. If I have to put her down and have her stay put I put her in the PnP with toys or Jumperoo and she's usually content.
