Officially off work/on bedrest

I am officially off work and on bedrest :/  Went to doctor on Thursday, BP was high again. Spent that night and all day Friday in L & D before they were satisfied with my BP. They gave me steroid shots because LO will be coming sooner rather than later. I am trying not to freak out and worry to much because I know if he comes sooner, it is what is best for him, just doesn't make it any easier.

    Oof, what a long day for you Thursday/Friday! Hopefully bedrest will help those BPs. Drink lotsa water and keep those tootsies up. I know you'll be doing everything you can to keep him in as long as possible! Hang in there. At least you have the boards to occupy you! Hope to hear lots of updates. Good luck!

    Sorry that you have to go through this. I'm glad your BP has gotten better though. Just try to relax as much as possible!

    You and baby will be fine because you are far enough along. I'm currently hospitalized and my nurse said make 35 and you are good but 36 weeks is ideal. Rest up!!

    I've been doing the same thing with the high BP and bed rest. I didn't get the shots though. What I can say is that I have taken bed rest very seriously, and had 2 follow ups with my OB's office and my BP went down both times.

     

    Praying your baby keeps cooking a while longer. Obviously I  don't know all of your specific details, but the plan for me is for him to stay cooking til 38-39 weeks, so hopefully yours will stay put!

    How bad are/were your blood pressure readings?  My doc pulled me from work 4 days ago due to elevated blood pressure but didn't start me on bedrest yet (just told me to "take it easy").  My readings for the first few days were substantially lower than they had been, but yesterday started creeping up again :(
