Real life friends

So, I'm in a meetup group and love it and have met lots of wonderful people. However, I find that 90% of the time I'm the only mom (out of 5-8) with two kids, let alone 2u2. Is it just the composition of our meetup group (it's a very large and diverse one I think), the area? Maybe the type of meetup I go to? 

Any thoughts on how to meet other moms with multiple kiddos? Or am I just out of luck?

    Maybe you could try finding another group or you could just give it some time. Maybe another mom with more than one kid will join or one of the current moms will get pg. Who knows, maybe one is pg now and just hasn't announced it?

    I kind of get where you're coming from though but in the opposite direction. Right now I'm the only mom with only one kid but even when that changes, I'll still be the only one to experience 2u2 and the unique struggles that that will bring.

    I was just talking to DH about this- I'm in a local area MOMS club and while there are a few other moms with 2+ kids I am pretty sure that out of the 12 or so moms in the group I am the only one with 2 kids 2 and under (28mo and 7mo). The other moms that have more than 1 kid have kids more spaced apart so their older child is in school or camp and they only have their younger child at the group outings...it makes things tough when we try and do stuff like the Children's museum and the zoo or park b/c I have a tough time doing those things w/ 2 kids by myself....actually scratch that, I can do those things just fine by myself but I can't stand around and chat w/ the other moms while I do it...it makes it tough to feel "in" the adult conversation when you are having to chase after kids :-/ We do much better at play dates at someones house where DS can be contained to one area so I can mingle while the baby crawls around me. I just found out I am pg w/ #3 so I know this is only going to get more difficult...

    That's exactly my problem. At the events that are more age appropriate for my older one the other moms are relaxed and hanging out and I try to but I have the little one as well, which makes it hard to totally relax. On the other hand there are events that are nice for babies (coffee shops etc) and I end up chasing/entertaining my older one. I just feel out of the loop. Granted if other moms had two I would still be out of the loop but at least I'd feel understood. There are actually several pregnant moms now. They won't be 2u2 but they'll be 2u3 so that's similar I guess.
