How to spell Evelyn's nick name??

Our LO will probably be Evelyn. DH and I both love a nick name pronounced "eh-vie" (not the typical evie).
So, I would we spell that? Evy? Evey?

I have a friend with an Evelyn whose nn is Evie, and it is pronounced Eh-vie. I'd just go with Evie.

Ditto the others. Spell it Evie and I think it's logical to keep the Eh-vie pronunciation since Evelyn is Eh-vuh-lyn.

Just curious, how would most of you spell ee-vie then? Like Eve with an 'ie' sound at the end? Like the V for Vendetta character?

In order for me to see it on paper and think to pronounce it "eh-vee," I think it would have to have two v's, so either Evvy or Evvie, but really, I hate how both of those look (and the two v's look a bit like a w, which may be confusing in it's own right), so I say follow PPs advice and just spell it Evie and teach people how to pronounce it.
