crib tent that keeps cats out?

I know I've seen it.  Now I'm searching high and low and cannot find it.  Does anyone know what I'm talking about and could you please share a link?  TIA!

Re: crib tent that keeps cats out?

  • There was only one company that I know that made them, they recalled them all.

  • Crib tents have been recalled. Just keep the door shut to keep your cats out, or use a baby/pet gate if you don't want to shut the door.

  • We are planning on keeping the nursery door shut - our cats can jump over baby gates.

  • most cats want nothing to do with an unpredictable screaming flinching baby. We just keep her door shut when she's alone in her room, but honestly we've locked the cats IN her room on accident a few times and the only thing they scratch is the door, asking us to let them out!

  • My cat was very interested in all of my DD's baby gear before she was born. I frequently caught him sleeping in the crib or on the changing table. After the baby arrived, the cat wanted nothing to do with her or her stuff. You probably won't have as big a problem with the cat as you think you will.

  • My son is two now and the cats never go in his crib.  They loved it before he came home.  Sometimes, if someone brings a dog over my cat hides on changing table in sons room if door is open.

  • Don't buy one.  I had one for DD, it was made for her co-sleeper.  Our cat, who never jumps on uneven surfaces, jumped on it and it crashed down on her.  He got above her eye with his back claw.  I felt terriable.  I called the pedi and she said to take the tent off that more often than not it attracts the cat rather than keep them out.

  • Friends of mine used a mosquito net that hung from the ceiling and draped around the crib to keep their cats out.

  • We are just going to keep the door to the nursery door closed and use the video monitor to see if baby is okay. My friend didnt have the video monitor so she replaced the nursery door with a screen door so that she could always look in.
