I'm still BF and pumping but only 3-4 times a day with at least a 12 hr span between the night feeding and the first AM feeding. AF is no where to be found. DH and I would like to try for a second sometime soon since it took a long time to get our sticky baby this time around (2 missed mc over a span of a year). Prior to pregnancy AF was VERY regular. Should I call the doc? Should I stop pumping? (I have enough of a stash to get me through to 12 months without pumping while I am at work but BF when I am with DD.) I really do not want to supplement with formula. Last appointment DD pedi did not discuss WCM with us so I don't know their take on it. TIA!

Re: AF where are you?
It wasn't until after I totally stopped pumping (with both twins and DS) that AF returned. And it was about 8-9 weeks after completely stopping that it showed up. I know it's totally different for everyone...I have a friend who got pg while still BF(and she got pg with spontaneous fraternal twins!) and yet I also have a friend like me who never had AF until well after stopping BF.
Once I reached 8 weeks and no AF after being done with BF, I called my OB (both after DDs and DS). She said to wait a few more weeks and after 10 weeks or so, call and she would have me come in. Both times though, AF showed up before having to schedule an appt.

Maybe your AF and my AF went to a rowdy party and are sleeping off hangovers. If my AF shows up and doesn't have a very good excuse I'll be very upset!
In all seriousness, check with your mother if you can and see how long it took her. I spoke with mine and she didn't get her AF until 16 months after my brother and 14 months after me. Silly me thought that having period cramps for the past four months meant that I might start sometime soon. So silly.
