I love you MIL, but....

please don't spend over $100 on Similac formula when you know I use Enfamil just because you think he is gassy and needs to be switched.

Bless her heart, but LO does not need to be switched just because everyone else in our family is switching formulas. She has it in her head that he is gassy and purchased soy, fussy and gas, and advanced Similac for him....and purchased new bottles for him that state they are for gas too.

He is a normal two month old with a normal fussy period. She even gave him ginger ale and a pacifier when she watched him one day! I was livid! Didn't call or anything...Love her, but really? Needless to say she hasn't watched him for us since.

    Oh wow! My MIL thinks DD is gassy b/c of the formula too (she's on Gerber Good Start Gentle). Why can't people realize that, yeah, babies fart! Lol! But then this is the same smart one who didn't know that a baby's poop changes. *shakes head*

    Mine is convinced I need to give him cereal with his bottle at night so he sleeps better. Unmm no.

    i give my lil guy rice in his bottle at lunch and at night time and he sleeps sooooo! much better! But ive changed his formula 3 times to try and find something that his tummy will like, hes super gassy so to help get it all out i use little tummies and that works really well. But my mom asks before she does anything but if i didnt have her i dont know what we would do

    You know unless they have reflux cereal this early is not good for babies.  It can cause all kinds of long term problems and has no nutritional value. A few extra hours of sleep is not worth the risks IMO .

    All babies are fussy... There isn't just some magic formula cure.
