The News is Out

So, DS has wanted me and my DH to have a baby for awhile, and he talks about it a lot - to us, to my parents, to daycare, even to BD. Well, we actually are pregnant now, and although I'm not "showing" to strangers (I'm only 18 wks), people who know me can tell since I am a fairly petite person.

DS talks to BD about how he wants there to be a baby in my belly, so I think BD has been speculating, but I've been wearing tops that purposely hide any bump during pick up/drop off. Well, BD point blank asked me yesterday, so I told him yes. He then asked how far along, girl/boy, etcetera.

So, I probably should have been the one to officially tell BD, but I didn't know how (a horrible excuse, I know.) I didn't know quite how he would react, but he seems fairly unaffected by it, and knows DS is really excited.

It feels good that I can just wear the clothes I normally wear, and not have to try and hide a bump!

Honesty is usually the best policy, and it'll be easier for you now. No more stressing about it! Glad to hear there wasn't a bunch of drama over it - who needs that? Yuck!

I have a restraining order against my Ex (he went to prison for domestic violence with a gun) and I WILL NOT be sharing the information when DH and I get pregant. It's a safety issue for us. He still get's monitored visitation with my other kids though...so it might come out, but I doubt it. My girls don't want to see him, they are forced to by the courts so hoping we can keep it all under wraps since we don't share any infor about our lives with him at all. He isn't even allowed to know our address or phone number!

Good luck in your pregnancy. I think it's very sweet that your ds is so excited!
