How do you get anything done? I am leaving to fly by myself (and baby), and have a list of things I need from a few stores, but I have a very... ummmm.... particular baby. He likes to be held on my shoulder, so he can see out, and hates his carseat. The last few times I have attempted Target, he has been napping, and as soon as we get to Target, he wakes up and wants to eat, whether he ate 2 hours before , or 20 minutes before. Even after I feed him, he is only happy being held on my shoulder, let me tell you, hard to push a cart while holding baby that way!So, do you...find a sitter? don't go? let him cry in the store?

Then came a baby in the baby carriage May 16, 12
Waiting on our second little peanut!
We have been trying the k'tan but he hates that as well. He doesn't like the newborn way of putting him in (kangaroo?) and we have been trying the hug hold, but he has to face me since he is only 7 weeks, and doesn't like not being able to look out and around. I may rather try to have him cry in that than the carseat b/c at least I can kind of bounce him in that as I walk.
Any other suggestions or tricks y'all use?
Mine LOVES to be out and about. Everyone comments on how good he is. If you look two posts down, you'll see he's NOT! But, take him to the store and he's in newborn heaven. Try a wrap or sling, like Pp said?
On a funny side note, he cries at stop lights...
Do you wear him or bring the carseat in?
Mine's the same way. As long as she's moving, especially in the cart, she's good. But god forbid you stop!
Mine too! I cringe every time I get to a red light, because I know she's about to go from absolutely silent and content to screaming her head off!
Carseat in the cart. My dad mentioned he might be cold. Have you tried a blanket wrapped around his leggies? DD screamed if she were cold. DS seems to, as well. I wrap his legs in a blanket for longer drives an in the store.
