backless booster with movable arm rests?

Anyone know of a backless booster seat that the arm rests can flip up? We have three seats across the back, a backless booster, a highbacked booster and a britax car seat. Sometimes DD has trouble buckling the belt because the seatbelt latch is between the backless booster and the car seat, out of sight and a little hard to reach. If I could find a booster arm rests that can flip up it would make it much easier on her. TIA.

Have you even researched this? Graco makes them. The cup holders also push into the seat.

Why yes I have research this, thank you for asking. Which Graco backless booster are you talking about? We have two of the Turboboosters and it has immovable arm rests. We also have a Recaro. Same thing. Someone has to make one that flips up.This feature doesn't seem to be listed in product discriptions, so I posted here to see what people have.

I'm actually pretty sure the turbobooster doesn't have moving armrests. At least the models I've seen don't. The evenflo big kid has moving arm rests, although it's really not comfortable to sit in. It's my daughter's backup seat (her main seat is a britax parkway) and she complains any time she has to ride in it because it's so uncomfortable.

The turbobooster doesn't have moving armrests and is so wide that when we used it we basically had to (with permission from the carseat tech), remove the arm rest from one side and we STILL had a lot of problems with three across with it. I ended up settling on a Cosco booster - it has fixed armrests BUT it's got the narrowest seat width. The buckle can fit just in front of where the armrest raises up, if that makes sense. We've had MUCH better luck with it than any other (except that my DH left it in another town last time we travelled. Boo.

Hmm, I'm very surprised that a carseat tech would recommend taking the arms off. That's actually incredibly dangerous since the arms are a critical part of what holds the belt in the correct position! The only armless booster I know of is the bubble bum, which has clips to hold the belt in place. By the way, that's another option as it's incredibly narrow, although it wouldn't make a great every day seat. I love it as our emergency/keep in the backpack in case of unexpected pick up seat.

The tech believed that because of the way the booster was raised (where the arm went, even without the arm) and because it was on the buckle side, it would be OK. We didn't do it for long, though, because I was concerned. That's why I found the replacement Cosco booster.

I'll bet techs are as frustrated as parents in trying to fit 3 across in practically any vehicle. There's a reason the Sunshine Radian and that Cosco booster are so popular.

I can't even tell you how much research and cursing I did when prepping for baby #3.

That said - your information might shed light on why nobody can find a moveable armrest backless booster, eh? Because if the arm rest is essential to seatbelt placement, a moveable armrest would defeat the purpose.

It is so frustrating! We're having #3 in February and I really want to stick with a sedan (we need a second vehicle no matter what because our only vehicle right now is a beetle, which doesn't have 5 seatbelts!) for gas savings and also because I don't want a minivan lol! I'm really hoping I can fit my two radians next to the britax parkway (which is also a narrow booster and gives a great belt fit) in a civic. The beetle is the biggest car I've ever driven and I'm scared to go big!
