I get to see a baby born today!

My BF is having her fourth baby today. We are always present at each other's births and sort of serve as doulas for each other since we both are NB junkies.

She's heading to the hospital in the next thirty minutes and I am meeting her up there. She's 4 cm and 80% effaced, contracting irregularly, but her doc doesn't feel safe letting her go home right now. With her last baby the same exact thing happened and she went to the hospital, let them break her water and the baby was born in the tub four hours later. I'm praying today goes just as well for her and baby.

I'm so excited. There is nothing more magical than watching someone bring life into this world!

How exciting! That's wonderful that you and your friend can be doulas for one another. I would absolutely love to have my best friend be my doula when I get pregnant again (we are both NB junkies as well); unfortunately she lives several states away. Best of luck to your friend today, and let us know how everything went!

How cool. I miss seeing babies come into the world. Hopefully I will again sometime! it's awesome that you and your friend support each other like that.
