Anyone knows anything about Bellini cribs??

hi ladies, a nurse recommend me to buy Bellini cribs but i don't find any store in our area.  I wonder anyone tried the Bellini brand before.  I'm first time mom and don't know much and want to buy a good solid wood crib for the lil guy.   If I go for Bellini, I will have to drive 2 hours to their store.  My question is if it's worth to drive them far to buy them or any other brand that have good solid wood cribs?  Any recall that I don't know? I don't see much reviews on the internet.  Any feedback would be appreciated!

  • I've never hear of them before now.  I just looked them up though.  Their website says that their cribs are certified by the Juvenile Product Manufacturer?s Association so that sounds pretty good.  Which one do you like?  They are pretty nice.  For the price though I would want to make sure it was neutral for a boy or girl if you have more children later.

  • I'm thinking of the Isabella crib. we're planning to put the crib in our room in the beginning.  I don't know if it's better to match the color of our bed set or if I should choose a lighter youthful color.  :)

  • That one is pretty.  I like the coffee color without considering anything else.  It won't always be in your room.  I assume it can be converted to a toddler bed.  Get what you think you will like for years to come.  Keep in mind you can always sand it down and repaint it later too :)

  • I would strongly suggest a drive to the store and probably to another store to check similar cribs in person.  Especially since you decided to go with a higher priced crib.  I was pretty sold on getting a Munire crib but when I went to the store I ended up going with the Baby's Dream spice crib. We also bought a dresser which I think is also good to see in person. Basically the company we went with felt more durable and the finish on the other companies' cribs seemed to chip easier.  It's hard to judge how much you will like  a crib from a picture.

  • Also it was fun looking at cribs :-) I'm definitely an online shopper but it was exciting walking around and looking at the different choices.
