Hi ladies!

I know I am an outsider to this board, but think the input I am seeking would be much more relevant from here. 

My husband is retiring after 25 years of military service (at least 3 active duty and the remainder has been National Guard).  Some of his friends (that served with him) and I will be throwing him a retirement party in August. 

The input I am seeking is what to get him.  I know the people he served with have already planned what they are getting, but I am somewhat sort of clueless on what from me.

Ideas?

    What will he be doing after he retires? Is there something in particular he could use in his new career?

    He is a police officer...has been for I believe a dozen or more years now.

    You can do a shadow box of things from his military career. I know it's rather cookie cutter for retirement, but it's always a nice thing to have.
