We have the britax b-agile. When can you stop putting the car seat in the stroller and just put baby right in the stroller? Just curious DS is around 18 pounds so i just started carrying him in and out of the car instead of carrying the car seat 2. It was getting way too heavy for me!

We have a different stroller, but we just tried J in the stroller without the carseat yesterday, and he did great. He's a lot smaller than your LO, too (a little under 15lb). As long as the harness has shoulder straps like the carseat, and it tightens enough to secure the baby in it, I think it's fine. I didn't see a minimum weight associated with mine.

We have the Graco travel system and you can technically put a newborn in the stroller without the carseat. We've been putting him in the stroller for about a month or so now. It really depends on how long we plan to have him in it. If its a short trip we'll keep him in the carset just for convenience.

Me too. I realized when my in laws went out and got a baby jogger for their house (they are big runners). DD was fine in their stroller without the carseat so I figured she would be fine in ours too. I still use the carseat if she falls asleep and I am going into the mall or target for a quick errand. If we were going to the park or for a longer trip, I would leave the car seat in the car. I hate lugging it around!

We have a citi mini. We started Lucia in it months ago because she doesn't like the carseat. We just put the seat back so she was laying down. Now we have just started putting the seat up and she does great. She isn't 13 lbs yet.

Our stroller reclines to a completely laying position, so Ian's been in just the stroller for a while. Now, though, he can sit assisted so I just harness him in. Do the same thing with a shopping cart...have a cover that goes over the cart that has a shoulder/chest harness on it. He's actually doing pretty good in it. We moved to a big boy car seat about 2 weeks ago...18 pounds was too much for me to handle anymore and I figured if I was going to be taking him out I might as well switch the car seat.

We also have the B-Agile and we have used the stroller without the carseat for about a month now. I use the carseat if we're out and he happens to be asleep, but otherwise for walks, or longer trips to the mall he's in the stroller. He likes it better so he can sit up more and see more.

This. But we've been using the actual stroller for a few months. He loves it.
